About The Position

The APP Primary Care works in collaboration with the physician in the outpatient setting (primary care offices or clinics including family medicine, women's health and internal medicine). Performs minimally invasive procedures, and generally works with a stable patient population.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (Required)
• AANP - American Association of Nurse Practitioners - American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• CNP - Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
• RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
• Must have a current RN license and maintain this license from the Ohio Board of Nursing
• Must have a current COA and maintain this license from the Ohio Board of Nursing
• Must have current Certification and maintain this Certification from a national certifying body (ANCC, AANP, etc. . . )
• Must have graduated from an accredited CNP program (Nursing and graduate of an accredited post-Master's Nurse Practitioner Program).
• Must have CPR Certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• Three to five years clinical nursing practice in the acute care setting.
• Requires full prescriptive authority within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Works under direction and in consultation/collaboration with physician.
• Assesses and evaluates patients, H&Ps, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, etc.
• Assists in diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Pre-operative and post-operative care, writes orders, discharges, etc.
• Promotes quality outcomes and initiatives.
• Must have a standard care arrangement SC a with a physician in like practice APRN responsible for notifying the Ohio Board of Nursing g .
• Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with his/her standard care arrangement and delineation of privileges.
