About The Position
As a part of Optum, the largest network of medical groups in the country, Optum California is seeking Full Time or Part Time Primary Care Clinicians to join our team in El Monte, CA. We are looking for dedicated clinicians who are passionate about providing quality care to patients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The role emphasizes a "Quality vs. Quantity Model," where clinicians typically see around 20 patients per day. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers, ensuring that you have the dedicated support needed to focus on practicing at the full scope of your license. The position includes scheduled weekly administrative time, and importantly, it does not require call or urgent care shifts, allowing for a more predictable work schedule. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting and assisting physicians with clinical care and task queue/inbox coverage at our group-owned site. Duties will encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: prescription refills, lab and radiology result verification, primary care clinical management (preventative, chronic, and acute disease management), post-discharge hospital and skilled nursing visits, and referrals to specialists as needed. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, providing a structured environment conducive to both professional and personal development.
