We are a non-profit, FQHC-LAL providing medical, behavioral health, case management, community outreach, diabetes education, and pharmacy services. Southwest Care Center is currently seeking an experienced full-time Medical Assistant. The positions are located at our Clinics in Santa Fe, NM. Position Details: Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Medical Assistant will perform routine, evidence-based patient care and administrative duties to assist medical providers in executing the plan of care under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. This role will provide support that promotes provider efficiency and productivity through effective facilitation of workflows, anticipation of physician needs, and chart preparation. The medical assistant is responsible for modeling professionalism, meeting expective performance levels of the position, demonstrating the values of the organization, and most importantly providing patient-focused care. This role will serve as a change agent and patient advocate using good judgment, initiative, critical-thinking, and effective communication at all times.
