About The Position
Manteo Community Health Center (part of Ocracoke Health Centers, Inc.) is looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant! We are a nonprofit community health center dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients and their families. Role Overview As a Medical Assistant, you will support our providers and patients in a primary care setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Preparing patients for visits and verifying medical history/medications
- Assisting with exams and minor procedures
- Collecting specimens and performing screenings
- Documenting care in the electronic medical record (we use Athena)
- Supporting patient flow and communication with patients/families
