About The Position

The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Part Time Primary Care Medical Assistant to join our Park Street Behavioral and Medical Services team in West Springfield, MA. This is a unique and exciting position for a medical assistant who wants to make a positive impact to the population served. This is a Part time schedule - 8 hour workday, Fridays only. Your role as a Primary Care Medical Assistant: The Primary Care Medical Assistant is an integral part of the client’s service team and within the Park Street team. You will have the ability to ​use an electronic medical record for chart review and telehealth appointments, develop supportive relationships with clients, interact with clients in order to assess needs, obtain vital signs, complete PAs, coordination of medical and psychiatric care with clients’ support network ( e.g. family members, other service providers), active collaboration with other agencies to coordinate client treatment, liaison with local pharmacies to fill prescriptions for clients’ medications, and prepare lab requests and obtain results. Requirements

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate, preferred
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
  • Reliable, registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check
  • Approved criminal background check (CORI)
