About The Position

Fairview Health Services is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join our primary care practice at M Health Fairview Clinic - Rosemount. The practice includes a 9 provider primary care team consisting of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. We also have specialists in sports & physical therapy, anticoagulation, medication therapy management, and an onsite pharmacy. Physicians will encounter an average of 18-22 patients per day, with virtual care offered and encouraged via video, telephone, and through EMR. The position requires 34 patient contact hours per week for full time, with a flexible schedule. The call frequency is 1:6, which is low intensity and consists of phone consultation only with first tier nurse triage. M Health Fairview Clinic - Rosemount is located just 15 miles south of the Twin Cities metropolitan area and predominantly serves the communities of Eagan, Rosemount, Apple Valley, and Inver Grove Heights.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency training program.
• BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA.
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services to patients in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Manage clinical care using a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
• Conduct patient encounters averaging 18-22 patients per day.
• Participate in virtual care via video, telephone, and EMR.
• Maintain a flexible schedule with 34 patient contact hours per week.
• Respond to call frequency of 1:6 for phone consultations.
