This position will float within our Cedar Rapids region Primary Care clinics, Express and Urgent Care clinics as well as Methwick Geriatric Clinic. This position will allow for coverage and patient access during vacations, illnesses, and leaves. Established team of 3 Advanced Practitioners Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in a variety of clinics Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Requirements

• Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or PA
• Ability to care for all ages
• Board certified
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Family Medicine experience desired

Responsibilities

• Full-Time position; 36 Patient contact hours weekly
• Exercises independent judgements in the assessment, coordination, management and evaluation of certain medical processes and procedures, under the guidelines of the scope of practice and medical protocols.
• Coordinating care of patients with other specialties
• Specialty Skills: minor procedures (i.e.: skin excisions, joint injections, lacerations)
• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
• No inpatient call coverage - Hospitalist Program is fully utilized
