Tala Health is assembling a premier nationwide network of licensed Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) to support our innovative AI-driven healthcare platform. As a part-time contractor specializing in family medicine and primary care, you'll join our licensed network in a consulting capacity, providing expert advice and insights to help develop and refine our AI-native systems. Note: At this stage, this role does not involve direct patient interactions or clinical services; instead, it focuses on strategic consulting to build our care network. This position is ideal for board-certified MDs or DOs seeking supplemental income through minimal monthly commitments, with opportunities to shape the future of AI in healthcare. We're actively recruiting in all 50 states, offering support for multi-state licensure to enhance our network's reach.

Requirements

• Licensure and Certification: Board-certified MD or DO in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty, with an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state. Multiple state licenses are highly desirable
• Experience: A proven track record in family medicine, preventive care, and managing diverse patient populations with appropriate licensure.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using telehealth platforms and eager to engage with AI-driven tools for data capture, analysis, and decision support. Basic familiarity with digital health technologies is preferred; training will be provided.
• Skills and Attributes: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first mindset. Ability to work independently in virtual and at-home settings while thriving in a collaborative, innovative environment.
• Availability: Flexible for minimal hours (typically 5-20 hours, depending on demand), with the ability to scale based on your schedule. No on-call requirements.
• Additional: Must pass background checks and maintain professional liability insurance (Tala can assist with recommendations).

Responsibilities

• Consulting and Advisory: Provide expert guidance on primary care protocols, family medicine best practices, and AI integration in clinical workflows to support Tala's platform development.
• AI Collaboration: Review and offer feedback on Tala's AI tools for data capture, insights generation, and recovery planning, ensuring clinical accuracy and empathy.
• Network Building: Assist in expanding Tala's licensed physician network by sharing insights on multi-state licensure and care standards.
• Documentation and Compliance: Advise on regulatory compliance, documentation standards, and ethical considerations for AI-assisted care.
• Innovation Sessions: Participate in occasional virtual sessions to brainstorm and refine AI features (minimal time commitment, compensated at your hourly rate).
• Quality Input: Contribute to upholding high standards of medical ethics and care quality in Tala's evolving AI ecosystem.
