About The Position

Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Midwest City is accepting applications for Medical Assistants (MA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), or EMT/Paramedics for a full-time position. The role involves preparing patients for visits with providers by completing the Advanced Standard room process, which includes entering the chief complaint, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and completing thorough medication reconciliation. The position also requires working with the Encounter Guide to help close any open care gaps, rechecking elevated blood pressures, and completing necessary documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits. Additionally, the role includes assisting with in-office testing, administering vaccines and injections, scheduling follow-up appointments, and collaborating with providers and the clinical care team to monitor and coordinate the delivery of care plans.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • For Certified Medical Assistants: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT/Paramedic certification.
  • For LPNs: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program and active LPN license in the state of practice.
  • 6 months of clinical healthcare experience preferred, particularly in a primary care office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for visits by completing the Advanced Standard room process.

  • Administer vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate care delivery.
