Pricing Systems Architect
About The Position
The Pricing Systems Architect is responsible for the design and hands-on execution of pricing and related commercial master data within SAP and downstream quote-to-cash systems. This role combines deep SAP pricing expertise with architectural and commercial judgment, ensuring pricing structures are scalable, accurate, and aligned with business objectives. Operating at the intersection of Revenue Operations, Finance, Sales, and IT, this role is expected to both design pricing system solutions and personally implement complex configurations in SAP. The Pricing Systems Architect serves as a trusted advisor on pricing system decisions that impact margin, deal execution, and long-term system complexity.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience in pricing, master data, or commercial systems roles.
- Advanced hands-on experience with SAP pricing and customer master data, including experience in S/4HANA or S/4HANA transition environments
- Experience supporting pricing and customer master data in S/4HANA, or actively participating in ECC → S/4HANA migration or redesign initiatives
- Strong understanding of quote-to-cash & Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) processes and pricing impact on invoicing and margin.
- Ability to think architecturally while remaining hands-on in system execution.
- Ability to lead with a solution-based mindset
- Experience of working with large complex data sets requiring multiple rules/configurations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
