The position is responsible for the research, analysis, interpretation, and visualization of data related to market research in the Pricing department.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and organize market data.
  • Build and manage dashboards and analytical tools to enhance pricing capabilities and streamline reporting.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute routine and ad hoc reports, ensuring accuracy, and addressing any discrepancies in the data.
  • Track market trends and recommend actionable strategies based on insights.
  • Monitor market dynamics using current reporting tools to maintain awareness and recommend enhancements to those reporting tools.
  • Develop data visualizations that effectively communicate insights, trends, and impacts from strategic decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify key metrics and create reports and visualizations to monitor and track performance.
  • Present findings to the Pricing department and partner with stakeholders to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Take responsibility for other unique and ongoing responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the residential mortgage industry, mortgage insurance, premium products, and pricing.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, an understanding of urgency of requests, and how to prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and act as a subject matter expert and resource for others.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and technologies across a broad spectrum.
  • Experience with MS Office Excel, SAS or Python (or other scripting language), SQL (or other database technology), and Tableau (or other data visualization technology).
  • Demonstrated ability to structure problems, draw conclusions, and present findings.
  • More than 3 years of relevant work experience (mortgage industry preferred)
