About The Position

The Pricing Manager is responsible for independently managing the full lifecycle of pricing and cost analysis activities from pre-award proposal development through post-award contract execution and reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, DCAA, and DCMA guidance; exceptional analytical and Excel modeling skills; and the ability to operate autonomously while producing accurate, compliant, and defensible pricing deliverables. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, capable of supporting multiple proposal efforts, preparing REAs (Requests for Equitable Adjustment), conducting post-award financial analysis, and providing strategic insights that ensure Arlo’s continued compliance and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10+ years of pricing, financial analysis, or cost volume experience within a federal contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DCAA, and DCMA standards; experience with CAS and OMB Circular A-122/A-21/A-87 preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup functions, macros, cost modeling).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing multiple, time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Experience producing and defending cost volumes and supporting REAs or post-award analyses.
  • Experience supporting IDIQ contracts, CPFF/FFP/T&M task orders, and multi-year pricing strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint and other pricing and accounting tools.
  • Exposure to post-award program control, financial reporting, or cost audit preparation.
  • Prior participation in color-team proposal reviews and pricing volume authorship.
  • Ability to mentor junior analysts and contribute to cross-functional process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop pricing staff, providing day-to-day supervision, performance feedback, and professional development support.
  • Assign and prioritize pricing workloads across proposals, pipeline activities, and post-award efforts to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adequate coverage.
  • Review, validate, and approve pricing models, cost estimates, and deliverables prepared by team members prior to submission or negotiation.
  • Establish and enforce pricing standards, methodologies, templates, and quality controls to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
  • Lead pricing reviews and serve as the escalation point for complex pricing issues, risk assessments, and executive decision support.
  • Lead the development of compliant and competitive pricing and cost volumes for federal and commercial proposals.
  • Build, maintain, and validate complex cost models and pricing spreadsheets (labor, indirects, ODCs, profit/fee, escalation, etc.).
  • Interpret solicitation instructions, RFP requirements, and evaluation criteria to ensure all pricing deliverables meet FAR/DFARS compliance and customer expectations and analyze risk.
  • Coordinate with capture, BD, finance, subcontracts, and PMO to gather data for cost narratives, BOEs, and subcontractor inputs.
  • Perform cost realism, price reasonableness, and “price-to-win” analyses, including rate research and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and contract performance reports to meet DCAA/DCMA audit requirements and internal management needs.
  • Bid & Proposal tracking support.
  • Support finance with modeling when factoring in awards.
  • Support proposal team with pipeline reporting and inputs.
  • Support finance with variance analysis, burn-rate tracking, and labor utilization reviews across awarded contracts to support program and executive decision-making— with an increased focus on T&M contract burn, workshare, analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare and document Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs), cost impact analyses, and pricing modifications in accordance with FAR Part 43.
  • Analyze change orders, scope modifications, and funding adjustments for pricing accuracy and compliance.
  • Modification reviews and audits with accounting system.
  • Assist in developing pricing trend reports, cost summaries, and lessons-learned data for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all pricing actions comply with Arlo’s internal pricing policy, procurement thresholds, and documentation standards.
  • Maintain and update standardized pricing templates and historical cost databases.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis for DCAA/DCMA reviews.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance pricing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards for executive level reviews and for incorporation into reviews.
  • Develop SOPs and processes to be compliant with all regulations.
  • Ability to interpret changes within clauses or other compliance requirements.
  • Audit contract to pricing and ensure modification documentation is accurate.
