General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. With limited direction, within an assigned functional unit, this position is responsible for providing pricing for internal leased assets including company-owned, company-operated (COCO) aircraft in support of DoD contracts. Ensures price and cost estimates are developed in accordance with the request for proposal (RFP) specifications and meet overall corporate policies and objectives. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of appropriate cost, contractual, schedule, and technical elements. Researches and analyzes specifications and calculates costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collaborates cross-functionally with contracts, finance, technical, operations and supply chain to ensure price accuracy and compliance. Prepare cost/price volumes including Basis of Estimates (BOEs), cost narratives, and visibility to rate structure. Responds to inquiries, identifies issues, and guides the development of innovative solutions to complex and diverse challenges concerning a variety of cost estimating topics. Participates in the development of and monitors the implementation of cost standards and practices. Serves as a consultant to management and as an external spokesperson on cost estimating activities and provides leadership in cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Support pricing negotiations and fact-finding sessions with government and internal stakeholders and may make internal and external presentations.
