About The Position

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst to join a fast-paced, high-performing team supporting the development, coordination, and submission of compliant and compelling proposals for Amentum's Missile Defense Division. You’ll be responsible for the preparation and review of compliant and competitive cost and price proposals for government solicitations. You will play a vital role in developing winning pricing strategies. The candidate will be responsible for the following: Proposal Development: Support the development of complex cost/price volumes for government solicitations to ensure timely delivery and the compliance needs of clients, organization, and the estimating system are met. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all cost proposals are fully compliant with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA). Rate Management & Strategy: Collaborate with relevant business functions to support the development of Forward Pricing Rate Agreements (FPRAs). Ensure the accurate application of these agreements in cost proposals and pricing models. Cost Estimating: Collaborate with program managers, technical teams, and functional departments to develop and substantiate Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for labor, materials, subcontracts, and other direct costs. Labor Rate Substantiation: Develop and justify direct labor rates for proposals, primarily using internal payroll data and established compensation structures as the auditable basis of estimate. Leverage external data, including the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and other salary surveys, to validate internal rates, benchmark for competitiveness, and establish rates for new roles. Financial Modeling: Create and maintain complex pricing models to analyze cost data, determine price reasonableness, and perform what-if analysis to optimize pricing strategies. The successful candidate will: Ensure all proposals strictly adhere to FAR, DFARS, and CAS, accurately applying FPRA rates to mitigate compliance risk. Develop and defend robust Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for all cost elements, particularly for direct labor using a combination of internal and external data sources. Build and maintain sophisticated, user-friendly pricing models that allow for effective what-if analysis and strategic decision-making. Foster strong, collaborative relationships with Program Management, technical teams, and Finance to ensure a cohesive and well-substantiated proposal. Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as an employee for one of our teammate companies.
