About The Position

The Pricing Analyst - Level 2 at Northrop Grumman plays a crucial role in managing proposal efforts from the receipt of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) through to contract award. This position is integral to the growth of the business, focusing on developing and implementing pricing strategies based on market dynamics and competitive analysis. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to ensure the successful submission of high-quality proposals and will be involved in negotiating contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of proposal, pricing or financial related experience, or a Master's Degree with 0+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups, nested formulas, macros), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to lead meetings.
  • Ability to collect, compile, and generate reports from large data sets efficiently.
  • Ability to manage timelines and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in navigating MS Windows based PCs and standard business applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Estimating Professional (CEP).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management and experience with Primavera.
  • Experience with probability modeling (@Risk or Crystal Ball).
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other Government Regulations.
  • Proficiency in ProPricer.
  • Experience working with Proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE).
  • Expertise with Excel Pivot Tables, VBA, and Macros.
  • Experience with parametric modeling (such as SEER-SEM, PRICE True Planning).
  • Experience conducting cost analysis and risk modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage proposal efforts.
  • Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in proposal development according to RFP specifications and regulations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional contributors to ensure quality proposals are submitted on time.
  • Work closely with Program Management and Supply Chain Management to ensure supplier quotes meet requirements.
  • Research and analyze large data sets to prioritize key data for proposals.
  • Develop creative solutions to complex contractual issues with the proposal team.
  • Summarize and present detailed proposal information in management reviews and customer meetings.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and participate in contract negotiations.
