About The Position

Assists Price File Manager in the production and maintenance of store pricing and signage. Provides exceptional customer service and contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • As a retail grocer, we operate 7 days/week and 365 days/year. Our in-store positions are likely to include evening, weekend, and holiday shifts per the needs of the business. Must complete and maintain any required food and work safety trainings/certifications.

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office with ability to learn new software and technology. Working knowledge with POS, inventory or other retail specific software preferred.

  • Previous customer service, food service, retail or grocery experience preferred.

  • Prior graphic design, file maintenance or sign-making experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and hangs shelf signs and tags for all departments, including UPC, PLU, special pricing, price changes, and add/drops.
  • Maintains awareness of and partners with Price File Manager to plan for signage needs for weekly ads, promotions, events and holidays.
  • Maintains accurate pricing and signage that meet merchandising standards.
  • Responds to technical issues leveraging knowledge, experience and resources.
  • Troubleshoots or seeks solutions to programming, pricing and signage issues.
  • Maintains good working relationships with store staff, marketing and merchandising teams, computer/register support and vendors.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments in the store to meet store merchandising standards.
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the price file work areas.
  • Handles damaged and spoiled product according to company policy.
  • Understands and complies with specific shift guidelines, tasks and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with products throughout store with willingness to continue learning.
  • Notifies department manager or Manager On Duty of any situations relating to customer service, safety, productivity, security or any other situation that may have an adverse effect on the store.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
