About The Position
Join our team at St. Francis Hospital as a Preventative Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a critical role in maintaining the reliability of medical equipment. You'll be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide range of advanced medical devices, including infusion pumps, patient monitoring systems, EKG machines, and more. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment stays safe, accurate, and ready for patient care.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Medical Electronics or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in medical equipment repair/PM/troubleshooting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and electrical safety in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Repair and calibrate advanced medical devices like infusion pumps, EKGs, suction pumps, pulse oximeters, and more.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety testing on various medical equipment.
- Participate in equipment inspections, installations, and removals.
- Learn and maintain sophisticated engineering test equipment and software.
- Organize and maintain parts inventory.
- Develop and design PM MEDTESTER checklists based on manufacturer specifications.
