About The Position

The Preventive Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and
repair of the fleet equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to wheel
loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, man lifts, and grinders. The
Mechanic should have demonstrable work practices with safety as the number one
goal. You will perform appropriate preventive maintenance on equipment and
necessary repairs to keep machines up and running daily.

Requirements

• Work in a team environment
• Full-time position with overtime opportunities
• Must have own tools (large impact tools will be provided)
• Able and willing to maintain a clean work environment
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Experience with routine maintenance operations is required
• Must be 21 years of age, or older

Nice To Haves

• Waste industry experience, a plus
• Completion of college or vocational or technical training, a plus
• A valid CDL driver license is a plus

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy vehicles, equipment, machinery, and facilities
• Perform services, diagnostics, and parts replacement for company fleet
• Aid in the repair and adjustments or replacements on a variety of components and systems such as tires, hoses, and electrical systems
• Service conveyers and various sorting equipment
• Complete and maintain records of servicing operations such as work orders and daily status reports
• Performs other duties as assigned
