The goals of the preventive program within the wrap around model are to keep families together, while continually assessing for risk and safety issues. The objectives are to strengthen families and to stabilize and maintain family functioning.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Time management and organizational skills.
Computer skills (typing, using software).
Flexibility to work with families in a family friendly schedule.
Experience with Child Welfare System.
BS/BA in Human Services field required
Up to 3 years’ experience working with families and field work
Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
Able to work in open space floor plan
Must be capable to move throughout work day and follow people served throughout community
Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet
Must be able to move in tight spaces
Occasional lifting of > _25+ pounds

Nice To Haves

Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

Providing on-going services and supervision to Child Welfare families.
Makes accurate assessments for safety and interventions and is comfortable addressing situational issues.
Conducts home visits through Orange County.
Writes detailed reports and maintains documentation.
Maintains relationships with Department of Social Services, mental health providers, schools and all other service providers.
MUST transport clients in own vehicle as needed
