About The Position

The Prevention Workshop Facilitator will manage Love Notes, Project AIM, and other related programs. The role involves assessing the needs and interests of individuals and groups, establishing and ensuring compliance with behavior and security rules, and planning activities to develop integral skills and abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social worker, psychology, education or related field.
  • One or more years of experience working with communities, students or adolescents.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups.
  • Providing personal assistance, emotional support, or other personal care to others.
  • Provide guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems, or process-related issues.
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the planning, implementation, evaluation and fulfillment of Love Notes, Project AIM, and other related programs.
  • Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities to develop integral skills and abilities.
  • Sponsor extracurricular activities, for the engagement of students in program activities.
  • Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide participants in learning from those activities.
  • Collaborate with fellow coworkers in planning and scheduling activities based on participant’s needs.
  • Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
  • Manages participant profiles, documentation, folders and reports required by all facilitated programs and activities.
  • Establishes and ensures compliance with behavior and security rules to maintain order among participants.
  • Will refer students in need and/or follow school and BGCPR protocols and guidelines.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injury and damage.
  • Evaluates and observes performance, behavior, social development and physical and psychological health of participants.
  • Will actively participate in provided trainings and will be kept informed about trends in leadership, education, and social development and subject matter specialties.
  • Complete HIPPA and Ethics in investigation certifications (CITI).
  • Perform any other task requested by the supervisor.
