About The Position

The Prevention Specialist develops and implements wellness and prevention programs for the Monadnock Region, with a focus on school-based education about substance misuse and other high-risk activities in the role of a Student Assistance Program (SAP) counselor. The Prevention Specialist is also responsible for providing community-based parent education and support on trauma and resilience. Relevant tasks include coordinating school-based prevention activities, delivering education to individuals and groups, developing culturally appropriate materials, maintaining fidelity to evidence-based practices, maintaining and reporting data. This grant funded position is dependent on funding from a variety of prevention grant sources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a Human Service field, with at least two years’ experience working with families and adolescents, and knowledge of substance misuse prevention.
