This part-time position will assist in the implementation of an initiative in the city of Martinsville & Henry County supporting parents and families. Must be knowledgeable of evidence-based prevention strategies, promotion of healthy family dynamics, impact of adverse experiences on family members, and delivery of parent education resources. Requires excellent communication skills and experience working pleasantly and cooperatively with a wide variety of people. Position will have space at assigned medical offices to work with referred patients. Position requires local travel and generally operates during regular business hours. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be needed to accommodate needs or requests. Post-secondary education in Human Services, Education, or related field required. Two years' experience in community work or community-centered mental health awareness and promotion activities preferred. Salary is commensurate with education & experience as it relates to the position. Must be willing to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process.
