The Prevention Facilitator is responsible for the direct provision of services to program participants. This includes collaborating with schools, community sites and other Sedgwick County agencies. Prevention programs target at-risk populations, using evidence-based models with a goal to reduce substance use, improve self-image and confidence, and equip students with skills for the future. The Facilitator will be cross-trained and may be assigned to work in any of the different Prevention programs as needed. The Facilitator is also responsible for ensuring pre- and post-testing, collection of other data, helping to secure financial support for program activities, as well as development and submission of reports to supervisor. The position requires attendance at meetings at each school/community site, providing community service opportunities for youth, and attending community meetings as requested.
