About The Position

We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Prevention Coordinator to provide injury prevention services onsite for a large manufacturing facility in Evansville, IN. We strive to increase the industrial athlete’s ability to perform their job duties safely and decrease the risk of injury through early intervention in a dynamic work environment. This position will support employees through ergonomic training, education, and hands-on injury prevention strategies while partnering closely with site leadership. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it before start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
  • Ergonomic and/or occupational health experience
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Athletic Training certification (ATC) preferred, but not required depending on experience.
  • Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Providing proactive injury prevention, early intervention (EI), and medical triage support as defined by OSHA standards.
  • Conducting ergonomic assessments and consultations in both production and office environments.
  • Delivering stretching programs, job-specific coaching, and wellness education to employees.
  • Supporting and participating in Medical Response Team (MRT) activities.
  • Performing routine audits (AED, first aid supplies, burn kits, etc.) to ensure compliance and readiness.
  • Managing and maintaining on-site wellness initiatives, including fitness center operations and programming.
  • Leading and organizing group fitness or wellness classes.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and providing feedback to employees and leadership.
  • Partnering with site leadership to identify trends and opportunities for injury prevention and continuous improvement.
