About The Position

The company is looking for a Service Sales Representative to promote and sell service agreements for commercial building systems products, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, and inspections. Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent work experience (3 years).
  • 3 years minimum B2B track record of sales experience.
  • Experience selling a service or intangible or technical product.
  • Experience prospecting, qualifying, solution selling, and closing deals.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with minimal direction.
  • Professional communication, interpersonal, and time leadership skills.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers, including operating systems such as Windows and Oracle systems.
  • Ability and willingness to work as a teammate.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years minimum B2B track record of sales experience.
  • Industry or related industry experience.
  • Salesforce proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell service agreements for commercial building systems products.
  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of service contracts.
  • Schedule sales calls and follow up on leads using outlined marketing strategies.
  • Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers.
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company service offerings.
  • Close sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives.
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support achieving the designed sales plan.
  • Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales-related activities.
  • Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Support the service department to generate leads for service or equipment/device upgrades.
