About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team on weekend day shifts. This role is critical to ensuring our equipment and facilities operate at peak efficiency through proactive maintenance, inspection, and repair activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED required or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in preventative maintenance or facilities maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related field preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or commercial facilities preferred
  • Experience with CMMS software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment, machinery, and systems according to established PM schedules
  • Perform routine inspections of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
  • Document all maintenance activities, findings, and recommendations in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Replace filters, lubricate moving parts, and perform adjustments to maintain optimal equipment performance
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment meets regulatory compliance standards
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and failures
  • Perform minor repairs on facility systems to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as they arise during shift
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent
  • Complete daily shift reports and communicate any issues or concerns to management
  • Update equipment maintenance logs and tracking systems
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Participate in safety training and emergency response drills
