Preventative Maintenance Technician

About The Position

The Field Lube Technician is responsible for completing routine preventative maintenance services on equipment located on the customers work site. This will also include inspecting machine function, fluids, and operation.

Requirements

Basic mechanical knowledge covering oil changes
Basic computer skills
Strong customer service skills
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
Detail oriented
Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must pass a background check and drug screen
Must provide your own hand tools required to perform work efficiently
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
High school diploma or GED
Heavy equipment repair experience or combination of technical training and field experience, Komatsu and/or Takeuchi experience preferred.
Experience driving a Class 4 or higher vehicle
Ability to carry, push, and lift up to 60lbs
Ability to climb and stand for extended periods of time
Able to work in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and dirt)
Travel as assigned for training or to perform work at other locations, overnight stays when required

Responsibilities

Complete services in a variety of weather conditions and locations
Perform routine lubrication, oil changes, and fluid top-offs
Inspect machine function, fluids, and operation
Order necessary parts with precision and accuracy
Meet time requirement guidelines and maintain efficiency levels
Report findings to service management
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Maintain and care for all tools and service truck
Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with customers, co-workers, and managers
Other duties as assigned
