About The Position

PCR/Lemay, a division of Waste Connections, is hiring a Preventative Maintenance Technician to support our fleet operations in Frederickson, Washington. This full-time position offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and long-term career growth in a stable and essential industry. As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you’ll help keep our fleet of garbage trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role suited for individuals with mechanical experience who are ready to step into a PM mechanic position. If you’ve got a strong work ethic and a desire to advance, we’ll provide on-the-job training to help you grow into a full diesel mechanic. Schedule: Monday to Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Overtime: 3–10 hours/week on average Compensation: Base Pay: $29.00 – $30.25/hour Shift Differential: +$1.50/hour Total Starting Pay: $30.50 – $31.75/hour Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in mostly exclusive and secondary markets. Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Basic tool set and toolbox
Ability to use diagnostic tools and basic computer systems
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

Experience in commercial vehicle or diesel maintenance preferred (not required)
Welding experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on refuse trucks, trailers, and yellow iron equipment
Use fleet maintenance software to manage service records and inspections
Conduct safety checks and maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant shop
Collaborate with drivers to identify and resolve mechanical issues
Complete repairs based on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
