The Preventative Maintenance Technician will Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all production and facility equipment as identified per schedule. This role is an On-Site role at our North American manufacturing headquarters in Apple Valley, MN. Shift - Monday - Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm Adjustments, lubrications, mechanical drive maintenance, hydraulic filters and process cleaning systems. Completes maintenance records such as labor, materials and equipment PM history and work orders posting accurate time and closing of the order. Inspects water lines, hydraulic lines, and pneumatic lines for correct fluid levels and performs the repairs needed to ensure leak free operation. Maintains the process water system, accurate readings of water meters, process water make up, filter cleanliness and water purification system in a timely manner. Inspects compressed air system for leaks using testing equipment and make repairs to maximize efficiency of delivery system. Use predictive equipment for vibration and IR scanning within the facility and operations equipment. Performs basic carpentry, plumbing and other installs or adjustments need for the facility. This may include hanging items, painting walls, installing shelving or other items in the facility. Fully engaged in the 5S/lean, tier management for organization, cleans personal and job site areas daily. All parts used, work performed and other paperwork properly completed and documented. Participates in contributing and completion of continuous improvement suggestion, A3 and projects for improvement. Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have the Technical Skills required for this position.
  • Must be self starter and work under minimal supervision.
  • Execute verbal and written technical instructions.
  • Good working knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and electronics, basic plumbing.
  • Good working knowledge of shop tools (Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Welders, ect.)
  • Ability to use simple writing and basic mathematics.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience in an industrial environment maintenance position.
  • Associate’s degree in business, management or equivalent
