This role involves participating in changeovers, machine preventative maintenance (PM), and repairs, spending 95% of the time on the production floor. The technician is expected to understand and communicate the status of all production machines, working closely with the shift supervisor to ensure machines operate safely, efficiently, and with quality. Daily tasks include reviewing the PM schedule and assigned duties with the Maintenance Supervisor and documenting all relevant information in the PM Log. The role also requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance, including food safety, and responding to emergencies. Security diligence, including access control and equipment maintenance, is also a key aspect. The technician is expected to complete tasks efficiently, seek support when needed, identify and record problems related to product, process, and quality systems, and suggest improvements.
