About The Position

Use work order system to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment including AHU's, FTU's, exhaust fans, dryer ductwork, and automated external defibrillator (AED) equipment within the assigned area. This includes changing filters, replacing belts, cleaning of cooling and heating coils, adjustment/alignment of motor mounts/pulleys/bearings, strainers, service blower wheel assemblies and lubrication of all components. Performs maintenance and repairs on other items as required. Other related work as assigned. Responsible for and operates departmental vehicle as assigned. Climbs ladders, works in confined/tight spaces and work with various chemicals using proper PPE as it pertains to the work environment. Responsible for and operates various equipment to conduct scope of work. Completes required safety training and complies with all safety standards including but not limited to lock out-tag out, ladders, aerial lifts, confined space safety, safe handling of hazardous chemicals, participation in campus safety teams, and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Reports complex and/or unusual problems to the supervisor and coordinates with other Maintenance staff as required to complete complex tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma two years' experience or equivalent or a post high school education and experience equal to two years. A relevant Technical or vocational degree may substitute for experience.
  • A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver's License or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position to include climbing ladder and working in confined/tight spaces.
