About The Position
Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino and Hotel is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar Casino has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment floor. Ameristar is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Tech. A successful candidate will provide basic functions related to maintaining slot machines to make sure they are operating properly and available to guests for play. Ensures the department is in compliance with company policies and procedures and that guests receive extraordinary service. Ensures the department is in compliance with MGC regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Must have general knowledge of how to conduct preventative maintenance on slot machines; cleaning, inspecting card readers, replacing buttons and printers, inspecting signage
- Must also have general knowledge of required options on all slot machines
- Excellent guest service skills
- Ability to work with little direct supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image
- Ability to establish rapport with other team members throughout the casino
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Electronics experience required
- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Role models appropriate internal and external guest service at all times.
- Observes EGD play, recognizes, and promotes guest development.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance on slot machines; including basic repair, maintenance.cleaning, inspecting card readers, replacing buttons and printers, inspecting signage, and general operating condition of the slot machines
- May dual rate as a Slot Service Specialist
- Responsible for safeguarding company assets at all times
- Keeps Casino Ops Tech Manager and department leadership informed of any problems during shift
- Adhere to the core value requirements
- Adhere to department and property policies and procedures
- Job Tasks must be finished in a timely manner according to department standards
- This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
