The Preventative Maintenance Salesperson is responsible for selling preventative maintenance (PM) service agreements for plumbing/HVAC equipment in the Denver, CO market. This role is best suited for an outgoing, proactive seller who is comfortable with cold calling, meeting new people, and communicating the value of “intangibles” such as energy savings and improved equipment uptime.

Requirements

  • Responsible for one or more programs/functions of such diversity and scope to be of critical importance to overall company objectives.
  • Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level employees and officers.
  • Plays a role in company business strategy development and execution.
  • Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations having significant impact on extensive and related activities of the company.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive programs and activities of importance.
  • Manages autonomous individuals, managers and diverse groups giving broader direction.
  • Expert in field, extensive relevant experience, 15+ years.
  • Masters or college/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in strategic business planning for establishing partnerships and business relationships
  • Attend strategic meetings with the VP with both internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • Work on cross selling for all RK business units
  • Work with marketing to develop strategic entry plans for new and emerging markets.
  • Develop relationships with new partners and clients as well as provide support to existing ones
  • Actively research project opportunities through publications, personal relationships with existing and prospective customers, networking, attending customer events, and participating in industry organizations
  • Schedule and attend client meetings to generate new business leads and expand industry network
  • Document all client/customer interactions using company CRM system
  • Represent RK in a professional and positive manner in all interactions including community outreach, business developments opportunities and industry events.
  • Work with business unit leadership to identify new and emerging development opportunities and formulate a strategic plan for entering new market sector
  • Develop and foster long term relationships with owners, developers, real estate professionals, architects, engineers and contractors
  • Work with leadership to strategically enhance RK’s market position with and create meaningful, long term engagement opportunities with key stakeholders
  • Conduct facility tours
  • Attend industry events
  • Develop strategic relationships with developers, architects and engineers
  • Plays a role in company business strategy development and execution
