About The Position

We are looking for full-time Preventative Maintenance and Lube Truck Technician for the New Lock at the Soo Project located in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. This individual will perform preventative maintenance on all on-site equipment and support mobile equipment mechanics as needed.

Requirements

1+ year of relative experience and/or training with construction equipment maintenance.
Must have clean driving record
Must be comfortable driving large 20-foot box truck (no CDL required).
Excellent communication skills
Able to schedule your own daily, and weekly work and jobs
Night shift, Monday through Friday 5:30pm to 5:30am and Saturday 3:30pm to ~1:30am.
Willing to work outside in hot and cold weather
Basic mechanical skills are needed to do repairs and maintenance
Reliable, punctual and takes pride in quality work
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memo
Strong work ethic

Apply common sense understanding and initiative to carry out assigned task
Follow directions
Handle basic hand tools
Light or heavy handling
Job site and vehicle housekeeping
Required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Driver’s license with clean driving record
