About The Position

ROLE SUMMARY: The Waste Water Treatment Lab Technician is responsible for maintaining waste water treatment, and line chemistry for quality production.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Speak, read, and write English and or Spanish (English preferred)
  • Organized with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to apply good sense, understanding, and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations, as part of a team.
  • Perform duties and abilities to their highest potential

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Pass a Class K Industrial Waste Water test within 6 months of employment
  • Fork lift license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Water Treatment and/or Fast-paced work environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and maintain inspection records.
  • Maintain tank chemistry
  • Inspect tanks using the appropriate method
  • Retrieve and examine water and chemical samples to verify qualities such as clarity, cleanliness, and consistency.
  • Conduct and maintain wastewater treatment system
  • Execute chemical add schedule
  • Handle and Transport Chemicals
  • Clean and Inspect Media Filters
  • Monitor and fill “Day Tank” chemistry
  • Unload inbound chemistry off trucks
  • Obtain and keep a forklift operator license through the company.
  • Technicians must also support the performance of equipment maintenance tasks, such as cleaning tanks, scraping material, and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area, among other company programs (5S), safety and compliance standards, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Technicians must attend the shift transfer meetings in order to be up to date with the items completed and pending completion in a 24/7 organization.
  • Report to the supervisor on any maintenance needs for the line.
