Pressure Wash/Powerwash Operator (Technician I)
About The Position
Completes power washing services on scheduled cycles and/or on-demand work orders as assigned. This position requires operators to safely drive large F-550 diesel or gas powered (or comparable) vehicles with a mounted pressure washing unit, hose reels, 500+ gallon primary water tank, recovery vacuum, and 125-gallon wastewater recovery tank. Operators are responsible for pressure washing various outdoor surfaces including bus stops, sidewalks, bus shelters, benches, trash receptacles, concrete walls and other vertical and horizontal structures. The position requires working in and around crowded areas in a safe and effective way with the ability to identify and correct conditions that might affect public and employee safety. Be able to complete assigned work orders daily, monitor operational status of the pressure wash unit, perform minor maintenance such as checking oil, other fuel levels, check hoses and connectors prior to each use. Follow the safety training procedures and instructions provided by the company, wear safety googles, face-shields, rubber-soled boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing pressure washing. The operator will handle and operator pressure washing machines with high-pressure (3500-4000 psi) and extremely hot water and/or steam. The safe operation of this equipment is imperative to the safety of the public and the operator. This position may require cross training in other areas of the business to broaden the employee’s skill set beyond the job description and duties listed for this Pressure Wash/Powerwash Operator position.
Requirements
- Must have a basic level of English comprehension, reading, speaking, and writing.
- Equipment Type: F-550 diesel or gas powered (or comparable 15,000+ GWVR) vehicles with a mounted pressure washing unit, hose reels, 500+ gallon primary water tank, vacuum, and 125-gallon wastewater recovery tank.
- Physical demands require frequent and prolonged use of hands and arms to use pressure wash gun/wand, bending, standing, and lifting 20-50 lbs. frequently throughout a normal shift.
- The employee must be able to work and walk around on smooth, uneven, cracked, slippery and slick surfaces (sidewalks, parking lots, walkways, etc.).
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or Equivalency preferred.
- Pressure washing experience desired but not required.
