About The Position
The position involves laying out, fitting, and welding using a Mig-Flux combination. The welder will perform various duties including obtaining specified electrodes, connecting cables to the welding unit, and manually guiding the electrode or gun along the weld line. The role requires welding to ASME standards and performing welds in various positions such as flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead. The welder will also examine welds for specifications, apply filler materials, clean weld joints, and preheat workpieces when necessary.
