The Pressing & Refining Operators report to the Utility Operator. This role is the final portion of soy sauce production. This position requires a high level of detail and mechanical aptitude to be successful. In this role one can expect to use various equipment to either press out soy sauce or create variations of the final product including high viscosity items. Below are various responsibilities that may be expected depending on the line an individual is assigned to. Duties and Responsibilities: Employees will be working with high and low hydraulic oil pressure. They will start the charging machines and watch and hear to see if it is running correctly. The job requires running a hoist to lift the stainless-steel plates and lower them into the charging machine. The employee must record the times of the start, the finish, and the number of folds. General cleaning is required. Employees will be working with high and low hydraulic oil pressure. This job requires reading digital timers and clearing and resetting of the timers. It also requires pushing buttons, opening valves and watching when preparing to move the cake. Must be able to open an air valve and walk and push the cake while on an air pallet. When settling the press, you have to be able to align the cake under a steel cage and lower the cage over the cake. Check the final alignment when settling the press. Remove the top portion of the cage and replace it on an empty cage waiting to be washed. Blend & Cook ingredients based on recipes. Heat products based on SOP’s. Filtering and sedimentation NB-Add system and lite system; Dialyzer High Viscosity cooking and mixing Operate forklift to retrieve and stock ingredients. Load and Unload tank trucks. Comply with all departmental & company-wide food safety policies & procedures. Other duties as assigned.
