About The Position

This position is for a Press Technical Support Member on the 2nd shift, responsible for maintaining and improving the integrity of machinery within production systems. The role involves supporting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Governance initiatives to ensure compliance. Key duties include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, operating various tooling equipment, and ensuring the highest level of equipment capabilities for the stamping process. The individual will be expected to uphold quality and production standards, prioritize work, and contribute to continuous improvement activities. The role requires strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics, as well as familiarity with PLCs and electrical drive units.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills include reading schematics.
  • Strong Hydraulics and Pneumatics skills include reading schematics.
  • Understanding and willingness to learn Mitsubishi Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Strong Electrical safety practices.
  • Ability to operate lathes, mills, drill presses and other tooling equipment.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic Communication skills.
  • Demonstrate skill and ability for operating and maintaining / troubleshooting press equipment.
  • Understanding and willingness to learn low voltage and high voltage electrical controls.
  • Good troubleshooting skills of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
  • Familiar with various types of electrical drive units (ABB, Mitsubishi) how to program and troubleshoot.
  • Develop and maintain ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the integrity of machinery for our production systems.
  • Support (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility.
  • Support the Corporate Governance Policy of Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive and the Objectives of: Meeting challenges of changed legal and business environment.
  • Enhancing the trust of ATA among customers, associates, and society.
  • Implementing activities to improve ATA business operations using a strategy of Steady Compliance.
  • Accountable to Maintenance Coordinator, Eng Asst. Mgr., Eng Mgr., SR Mgr Eng.
  • To ensure the integrity of the stamping process, improve, maintain, and ensure the highest level of equipment capabilities.
  • Demonstrate skill and ability for operating and maintaining / troubleshooting press equipment.
  • Model proper associate conduct and work ethic.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
  • Uphold quality standards, production standards, and proper work attitude with all ATA associates.
  • Prioritize work activities to meet deadlines and maintain production efficiency.
  • Maintain proper support team environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of machine functions.
  • Support all production areas with technical skill sets.
  • Evaluate and correct machinery problems.
  • Minimize productive down time.
  • Perform P.M. activities.
  • Install and remove mechanical and electrical devices.
  • Evaluate specific machinery and trouble shoot repair procedures.
  • Handle electrical testing procedures.
  • Comprehend press programming systems and their functionality.
  • Assess and trouble shoot press software.
  • Perform equipment installations and corresponding modifications as prescribed by Engineering, Quality, and Customer.
  • Develop and maintain ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints.
  • Implement, document and maintain history of all necessary press equipment changes, PLC interface(s) with presses.
  • Maintain knowledge on past process parameters, process changes, and corresponding materials to provide technical expertise for all areas needed.
  • Assist in all corrective actions and new implementations of Continuous Improvement activities, Kaizen, and Cycle time reduction.
  • Must be available to work Overtime & weekends scheduled by Engineering Asst. Mgr, Engineering Mgr.
  • Other duties assigned by Technical Coordinator.
