Our core values embody the way we interact with each other, just as they influence the way we interact with clients.   We are currently recruiting for a Flexo Press Support to join our Production Team! This role will assist the Press Operators in setting up and operating the printing press to produce pressure-sensitive labels and related products on paper, plastic, foil, and film materials.  Learn how to operate press equipment,   This position offers on-site training and the opportunity to learn a valuable, skilled trade in the printing industry. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret rulers, scales, and other measurement devices.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently is required to walk
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment, printing or packaging industry experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follows guidance and direction from the Press Operator.
  • Reads job order and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft, and installs print cylinder in press.
  • Cleans plates, print cylinders, and dies as needed.
  • Removes trash as needed.
  • Mount press plates.
  • Ink station clean up.
  • Stage upcoming jobs and prepare the press carts.
  • Assists in the performance of daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as required.
  • Supervisor must approve all maintenance.
  • Mixes inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity.
  • Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.
  • Learn how to assist the Press Operators in the daily operations at the press.
