About The Position

Supervise and Maintain the Press Room RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision & Leadership: Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments to press room staff. Responsibilities also include training new employees, appraising performance, and managing employee relations in accordance with company policies. Operations Management: Oversee daily operations including, job scheduling, timesheet overview and personnel allocation. Produce prototype and Low Volume Production parts at the highest quality and lowest cost, meeting company standards and customer specifications. Equipment Operation & Setup: Must have knowledge and skill to safely operate various presses (hydraulic and mechanical) and associated equipment. Complete understanding of requirements to assemble, install, and align dies according to specifications, and set up machines for prototype and production runs. Quality Control: Ensure quality parts are produced, instruct and verify in-process checks, take the first good piece to Quality for buy-off, and identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance parts to adjust machine controls for correction. Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify problems, recommend solutions, and coordinate the scheduling of press maintenance. Material & Inventory Management:Handle inventory management for materials from raw incoming material required for jobs, in-process parts and ensure proper handling and transfer to supporting departments Coordination & Communication: Coordinate closely with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure prototypes meet technical specifications and project timelines. Provide feedback on production feasibility and material constraints. Safety & Compliance:Enforce and ensure compliance with all safety and work rules, regulations, and housekeeping standards
