About The Position
The position is located in Rockledge and operates on the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM. The role involves working from schedules, production orders, prints, and specifications. Responsibilities include verifying alloy and length of billet, setting heater controls to proper specifications, and operating the press with multifunction operation of multiple control panels in sequence to ensure proper operation. The individual will make adjustments to the press and peripheral equipment to set up product layout guides and tooling, ensuring that parameters are adjusted to meet customer specifications. Additionally, the role requires performing or assisting with departmental operations as needed to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and ensuring safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility. The position also involves assisting in process examination and quality documentation, determining causes for problems, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending solutions to help establish product and customer issues. The individual will assist in press equipment validations, safety, and quality audits, and must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned shop environment, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
