About The Position

With locations in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota, Forum Communications Printing addresses commercial printing and mailing needs with our high-quality print and mail solutions. Services include magazine, catalog, book, and tradeshow printing, brochures, direct mailers, postcards, variable data printing, statements, glossy inserts, annual reports, fulfillment, first class mail pick-up, and print & digital publications. Forum Communications Printing is part of Forum Communications Company, a 5th-generation, family-owned, Upper Midwest media company. Job Summary Operate and maintain web press machines and equipment. This is a 2nd shift position, Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm.

Requirements

• Press mechanics and control systems.
• Job ticket and proof interpretation.
• Substrate behavior and material handling.
• Color management fundamentals using densitometer.
• Plate hanging and blanket replacement.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating a web press is preferred (Goss or DGM).

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain printing presses.
• Monitor the printing process to maintain print quality and consistency.
• Adjust ink, tension, and register as necessary.
• Troubleshoot common press issues.
• Ensure that the final print meets quality standards and client specifications.
• Responsible for routine maintenance on press and printing equipment, and general housekeeping.
• Collaborate with other team members.
• Abide by all OSHA regulations and other established company safety policies.
