Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Digital Press Operator in our Duluth, GA facility to help support and meet our customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to resolve technical issue and/or provide recommendations
  • Basic math skills to read ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
  • Basic computer skills (open, close, print file)
  • Ability to operate equipment to obtain proficiency as measured through production and quality standards
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions, short correspondence, and job tickets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

  • Experience in a digital print or production-related environment

Responsibilities

  • Carry out accurately and precisely detailed instructions from job orders
  • Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct
  • Set up/adjust press for job runs to meet specifications
  • Load and unload paper stock and set up/load print files
  • Monitor and examine product for quality assurance; collect and inspect for color and copy samples during print runs to identify any adjustments needed
  • Initiate the start up and running of jobs in keeping with production schedule
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines, as required, to reduce problems, maintain quality, and minimize costly repairs and downtime
  • Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines. Keep workspace clean and organized for efficiency in shift changeovers
  • Complete with accuracy related logs and paperwork
