Requirements

  • High School diploma (or GED).
  • Minimum of 3 years of press operation with specific Gravure printing and troubleshooting.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.

Responsibilities

  • Operates Gravure Printing Press to produce 'Best In Class' packaging for domestic and international use.
  • Operates press, troubleshoot and monitor press operation.
  • Prepares press by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by matching inks, resolving defects and adjustments to exceed customer expectation.
  • Oversee roll stand service.
  • Check posted viscosity time to maintain correct viscosity of inks.
  • Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.
  • Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading of printing carriages and rotary tools.
  • Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy.
  • Inspect cartons for proper color, register, cutting, creasing and defect free.
  • Ensure all checklists are completed.
  • Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the EHS and Clean policies.
  • Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment.
  • Communicates accurate information to all team members in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Create and maintain a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation.
  • Motivate crew to improve quantity and quality of work performed and provide training as required.
