This includes printing single-color, two-color, and multi-color jobs involving solids, tints, lines, halftones, and critical color matches. The operator interprets job specifications to determine press setup requirements, such as sheet-wise or work-and-turn impositions. Responsibilities include performing make-ready tasks, installing plates or cylinders, adjusting tension, prepping blankets, checking for imperfections, and ensuring accurate image positioning. The role involves executing press adjustments and color corrections to meet production standards, maintaining press functionality through regular cleaning and lubrication, and performing minor repairs or part replacements as needed. The Press Operator 1 also follows manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules to ensure consistent performance and product quality.
