About The Position
The Press Picker position at Metal Powder Products LLC is a vital role within the Press/Compaction department. This position is primarily responsible for picking and unloading parts from the Press Machine, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess basic computer skills, which are essential for following job instructions and maintaining accurate records. The role requires a willingness to learn and adapt, particularly in mastering the use of micrometers, calipers, and other gaging instruments that are crucial for quality control in the manufacturing process. In addition to technical skills, the Press Picker must adhere to safety guidelines and quality procedures, which are paramount in a manufacturing environment. The job involves physical demands, including the ability to stand, squat, bend, and move for up to 8 hours a day, as well as the capability to lift items weighing up to 10 lbs. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth, as employees will have the chance to train with Builders and Die setters, paving the way for advancement within the Press Department.
