About The Position

We are actively recruiting for the position of Press Feeder for our plant in Van Nuys, CA

Shift: 2nd Shift Monday to Friday 1:30 pm-10:00 pm

Requirements

• Understand the printing process of the press machine.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the Press Operator.
• Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them.
• Ability to multi-task with changing priorities.
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the plates by punching holes in front and placing them inside the designated color.
• Assists Press Operator in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
• Load skids of unprinted sheets of paper on the feed device of the sheet-fed press, using the pallet jack
• Inspect materials and products for defects, and to ensure it meets job specifications.
• Push dual control buttons and move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment.
• Load the printed side of the job to the flipping machine and prepare to load on the press machine.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
• Remove materials and products from machines and equipment and place them in staging position for the bindery department.
• Record production and operational data, such as the number of materials processed.
• Report any workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and are free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
