Press Brake Set-up
About The Position
We are seeking full-time, 2nd shift, Press Brake Set Up Operators for our Sheet Metal Fabrication Department. Associates in these positions support the manufacture of cabinets or other products by preparing sheet metal stock for application to finished product. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality. Candidates selected for these positions must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles. Consequently, shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift. Note: This job may not be limited to the operation of a press brake. Other duties, including operation of other machinery in the Fabrication work-center, will be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience operating a Press Brake machine
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates press brakes
- Reads and interprets blueprints
- Utilizes precision measuring equipment
- Operates auxiliary equipment as assigned
- Meets performance and quality standards
- Uses simple tools such as tape measure and protractor.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Regular attendance is required.
