About The Position

As a Press Brake Service Technician, you will utilize customer communication skills, and the mechanical and electrical knowledge to repair, troubleshoot, modify and test complex technical problems on Mitsubishi Machining products. This position is travel Monday through Friday, and home on weekends. While travel is mostly regionalized, Press Brake Service Technicians typically stay in a hotel nearby the customers facility Monday through Friday. Travel is primarily throughout the Canada and US, but can be international in some cases as well. Our services are provided on-site at our customer’s facilities and via telephone if the situation permits. Requirements

• Working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes
• Ability to use basic hand-tools
• Ability to operate a computer with windows operating systems
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Able to be comfortable working with heights
• Valid Drivers License
• Associates or technical degree preferred
• Experience with electrical Measurement and inspection techniques (voltmeter, oscilloscope, and other measuring equipment)
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems (ball screws, bearings, gearing, and various way systems)
• Experience in Mechanical measurement and inspection techniques (indicators, micrometers, gage blocks and optical comparator. Laser Interferometer and ball bar a plus)

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair
• Examine machines mechanically and electrically in order to perform repairs by dismantling machines and rebuilding as needed
• Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers
• Effectively interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems
• Document in detail product problems and resolutions
• Other duties as assigned
